NURSERY – (Birth to 3 years)
Your children will be in a loving environment where they will be exploring through play, simple Bible stories, toys, and music. All of our caregivers have been through Safe sanctuary training with all appropriate background checks completed so you can come to worship knowing your child is in a save and loving place. Nurseries are open Sundays from 9:15 am to 12:15 pm and upon reservation for weeknight church events. Parents are welcome to visit our nursery anytime!
ELEMENTARY – (4 years – 4th Grade)
We use a teaching model called Rotation Sunday School. Children not only love repetition, but need it to develop lasting memory and understanding of Bible content. We offer each story and Bible concept in a variety of ways during a 5 week rotation. The children are divided into age groups and sent to a different rotation each week. This approach takes advantage of every child’s personal approach to learning what it means to be a follower of Christ because it is hands-on, servant-based, relational and relevant. Rotation Sunday School offers exciting child-friendly activities that include: music, stories, computer applications, cooking, science, Bible games, art, and theater. In these environments, teachers have opportunities to foster the spiritual, social, emotional, and physical development in each individual child. As a long standing tradition in the United Methodist Church, we present all of our third grade students with a personalized Bible during a special ceremony each year. Scripture memorization is a big part of Rotation Sunday school.
S.M.A.S.H. – Students Ministering And Serving Him (5th-7th Grades)
Sunday morning classes just for pre-teens! Packed with relevant discussions, movie clips, and active Bible study opportunities, our pre-teens are offered lessons that answer real-life questions, dig into the Bible, tackle issues they care about, and connect God to their daily world.
CONFIRMATION – (7th & 8th Grades):
Confirmation is an important year of formation. Our 7th-8th graders are given the opportunity to personally respond to Jesus’ call to live as a disciple. The year culminates with the Confirmation Service, where the students who have chosen to be confirmed profess their faith and are confirmed into the Christian faith and the United Methodist Church. Confirmation is about intentional commitment. Students learn about the history, practices, and beliefs of the Christian faith from a United Methodist perspective.
