Wednesday, Welcome to our blog

It's Wednesday!  I have been looking forward to beginning our blog on our website.  I believe it is important that we have a say to communicate other than just through the link to our worship services on YouTube and FaceBook.  We should be able to have a conversation here and in person.  It is a part of building relationships.

When Jesus walked this earth, he was all about relationships.  He would talk with people, even when the disciples didn't think he should.  Jesus asked about other people.  He genuinely cared about them.  

In our churches today, we are often more concerned about ourselves and keeping the light on, so to speak.  Churches far to often forget about the love and acceptance from Christ.  People do not place the high priority on being a part of a church anymore.  I believe that, for many, the reasons will include the judgement that they get from others who are a part of the church.  What are your thoughts?  Why do you think that church attendance around our country has decreased?
